Gunman knocks on Queens apartment door, shoots man twice in head

The killer came knocking.
A 30-year-old man was shot dead by a gunman who awakened him with a knock on his Queens apartment door early Friday, police sources said.
When the victim answered the 2:30 a.m. rap in the Pomonok Houses on 71st Ave., the gunman shot him twice in the head and fled, sources said.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, died at the scene.
Police were hunting the shooter.
