NYPD cop rides on hood of patrol car and suffers head injury after falling onto street

Police said they did not know why the officer was riding on the car’s hood. A video by Breaking911.com shows the cop lying on top of the car until it came to a stop, sending him flying to the ground in Brooklyn on Monday. He suffered a head injury and was taken to Lutheran Medical Center.

An officer’s joyride went way wrong after he fell off the hood of a squad car and smacked his head on a Brooklyn street Monday morning, police sources said.
A video by Eyewitness News shows the officer lying on top of a police car until it came to a sudden stop at Seton Pl. and Parkville Ave. in Flatbush at 7:51 a.m.
The uniformed officer slipped off the hood, stumbled and fell backward, hitting his head on the ground.

A cop walking in front of the now unjoyful officer went over to help him, as did the officer who was behind the wheel, the video shows.
Suffering a head injury, the officer was taken to Lutheran Medical Center.
