Divers looking for a missing 21-year-old Pennsylvania university student pulled a body from the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Authorities have not yet said whether the remains belong to Shane Montgomery, who disappeared in the wee hours of Thanksgiving Day after leaving a pub in Manayunk, a northwest neighborhood in Philadelphia.
But the young man’s parents, who watched divers remove the body, said it belongs to their son, WCAU-TV reported.
FACEBOOKThe body of 21 year-old Shane Montgomery, last seen leaving a Philadelphia pub, was pulled Saturday from the Schuykill River, according to a local station that said the man’s parents had confirmed it was their son.
Three weeks after Montgomery was reported missing, volunteer searchers found his car keys in the river.
Surveillance video had showed the student walking near the river at about 1:45 a.m. He had just left Kildare’s Irish Pub, where he had been celebrating his 21st birthday by having a few beers.
