Florida man, 60, arrested for impregnating 12-year-old girl 

Walter Johnson, of Jacksonville, called police after the victim learned she was pregnant and threatened to kill himself. He has been charged with three counts of sexual battery and is being held in county jail on $1.5 million bond.

A 60-year-old Florida man accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl told police he planned to commit suicide when he found out she was pregnant.
Walter Johnson allegedly had sex with the girl multiple times in the first week of October and when a New Year's Eve test confirmed she was carrying a baby, according to an arrest report by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The Jacksonville man was with the girl at the medical facility, but when he heard the positive test he left, police said.  
He then called 911 moments later and threatened to commit suicide. He was then arrested, police said.
She's nothing but 12 years old, she's just a baby herself, it's really hard.
The suspect denied having sex with the victim, and told police he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and was not talking his medication.
He has been charged with three counts of sexual battery of a victim between ages 12 and 18. He is being held at the Duval County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on $1.5 million bail, according to the facility.
A family member of the victim told TV Station WJAX-TV 47.Johnson had been a family friend for 40 years and had even lived at her home in 2011 and 2012.
"He was a good guy ... But there is hidden secrets," the relative said. "If it's a child out there that's listening, if anybody touches, please don't be afraid to tell, tell somebody, tell somebody."
Another relative said the family was shocked by what happened but would keep the baby and raise the child in their home.
"She's nothing but 12 years old, she's just a baby herself, it's really hard," she told the station. "We going to love the baby, yeah … cause we a loving family."
