Virginia family of 5, including pregnant woman, killed in crash with tractor-trailer

Travis Straton, girlfriend Regina Ayres, her children Jordan, 7, and son Jonathan, 2 months, along with Regina's sister Zarissa Ayres, who was pregnant, were killed in the crash with the truck driven by Yvenet Mayette. Alcohol is not considered a factor and no charges have been filed while investigators continue to look into the incident.

A Virginia family of five has been killed in a horrific crash with an 18-wheeler truck in Maryland.
The group was traveling in a Suzuki Forenza at the intersection of Routes 50 and 213 in Wye Mills, Md., at 1:15 a.m. Saturday when the tractor-trailer hit their vehicle and rolled over it, reports WJLA.
Travis Straton, 25, his girlfriend Regina Ayres, 24, her daughter Jordan Ayres, 7, and son Jonathan Ayres, 2 months, were all declared dead at the scene.
Regina's sister Zarissa Ayres, 30, and her unborn child, were rushed to Memorial Hospital in Easton.
The driver is expected to survive. Police are still investigating the incident.

But they both lost their lives soon after.
The family, from Greenbush, Va., was on its way to visit family in Baltimore. It's not known who was driving the car.
Truck driver Yvenet Mayette, 28, was also injured in the smash. The Wilmington, Del., resident was airlifted to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
His current condition is now known.
Police are now investigating the tragedy and have said that, at this time, there is no indication that alcohol was a factor.
No charges have been filed.
