All eight crew members of a cargo ship are missing and presumed dead after the vessel overturned and sank Saturday in northern Scotland.
British rescue teams sent two helicopters and four lifeboats to find the carrier Cemfjord, which was carrying cement from Denmark to the west coast of England. After two days of searching, there was no sign of the ship, the Marine and Coastguard Agency said.
The families of all crew members were told that the search is called off because there was no sign of the eight men, the Guardian reports.
The ship was last seen Friday afternoon, moving through harsh weather.
