Texas Amber Alert ends with missing baby's recovery in Arkansas but both parents dead

Tyemetheus Levastavian Pack, 42, fatally shot himself during a traffic stop Tuesday morning, leading to the recovery of his 14-month-old son, authorities said. Pack had been wanted as a person of interest after the child's mother was found dead inside her Houston apartment.

A man wanted for questioning in the disappearance of his 14-month-old son in Texas killed himself during a traffic stop in Arkansas, leading to the recovery of the child, authorities said.
A woman and three children were inside the vehicle when state troopers say Tyemetheus Levastavian Pack pulled out a gun and fatally shot himself Tuesday morning in Nevada County.
The 42-year-old man had been wanted since last week by Houston police in connection to the abduction of his son, Tyemetheus Pack Jr., after the child's mother, Angel Jackson, was mysteriously found dead on Christmas Eve.
The 26-year-old woman had sent a text to someone stating that she had been shot before she was found dead in her apartment by a maintenance man performing a welfare check, KHOU reported.
Police have not disclosed her cause of death.

The baby and the other occupants in the vehicle, whose identities and relations to Pack were not released, were described by troopers as uninjured.
Pack, whose last known address was in Portland, Ore., was pronounced dead at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope, Ark.
Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division are now investigating the incident.
