17 HURT, INCLUDING CHILDREN, WHEN SCHOOL BUS CRASHES INTO BUILDING IN QUEENS

Tim Fleischer has the latest developments from Woodside.
A school bus crashed into a building in Woodside, Queens, Friday evening, injuring several people, including children.

The accident happened around 5 p.m. at Woodside Avenue and 59th Street.

A total of 17 people were injured.

Officials say two victims suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries. They were rushed to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment.

At least 13 children suffered minor injuries.

Officials say that the bus struck another vehicle before careening into a pizzeria. A total of three cars were involved in the crash.

The driver of one of the other vehicles suffered a gash to her head.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
