The return of "The Walking Dead" is six months away, but fans are already champing at the bit to learn more.

It's never too early to prepare for the zombie apocalypse.
Six months before the Season 6 premiere will hit the airwaves, creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman already started dropping hints about the horror to come.
Speaking to the crowd at the National Association of Broadcasters convention over the weekend, the writer didn't exactly defuse rumors that fan favorite Glenn could be destined as the next major character to die, the Wrap reported.
"We don't kill the popular characters," Kirkman deadpanned to the audience, eliciting peals of laughter.
And actor Stephen Yuen, who plays Glenn, seemed resigned to such a fate ... eventually.

"If I go — that could happen," Yeun said, before adding that Glenn would go out in a worthy manner when the time inevitably comes.
"The way that we make the show — the writers and everybody really want to focus on making things poignant and purposeful and meaningful," Yeun said, according to the Wrap. "So if it were for Glenn to go, then it's probably going to be awesome."

Rumors continue to swirl that Stephen Yeun’s Glenn is on borrowed time.

This is a television show, after all, with characters who have the lowest life expectancy outside of "Game of Thrones" — where major characters often shuffle off this mortal coil, or shuffle as something less than human.
Kirkman also teased that the reappearance of Lennie James' Morgan would drive the storyline — especially as he walked in to find old pal Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) executing someone in cold blood in the Season 5 finale.
"Now it's a very different Rick and a very different Morgan who are going to have a completely different relationship," said Kirkman. "And it's the questions of how they're going to interact, how they're going to work together — if they're going to work together — and what comes from those interactions is going to be basically the spine of Season 6."
