The First Lady is back on the cover of Glamour, but this time, she's got some Hollywood friends to share the limelight with her.
Michelle Obama, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kerry Washington appear together on the cover of the Conde Nast title, photographed in February by Patrick Demarchelier in the Blue Room at The White House. The actresses share a passion for serving military members and their families, which has been Obama's major cause in addition to her Let's Move Campaign to fight childhood obesity. She launched the Joining Forces initiative in 2011 to provide employment resources, affordable education programs and wellness access for active service members, veterans and their families. Joining Forces works hand in hand with the public and private sectors to ensure that service members, veterans, and their families have the tools they need to succeed throughout their lives
Mrs. Obama has been making several press appearances within the last week: she appeared on “Live with Kelly and Michael” during Monday’s annual White House Easter Egg Roll, and returned to "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" last week.
Obama was last on the cover of Glamour in December 2009, and has more recently appeared on the March issue of Cooking Light, and the November edition of Redbook, where she also talked about Joining Forces and appeared with five female veterans. She has also appeared on the cover of Vogue twice, first in March 2009 and then in April 2013.
On the Glamour cover, both Obama and Washington are wearing dresses by Narciso Rodriguez, while Parker wears Oscar de la Renta. Check out the behind-the-scenes video of the cover shoot and interview with Editor in Chief Cindi Leive, below.
