Bo Jackson took the time to make sure that a naive kid fully understood the awesomeness that is Bo Jackson.
The former athlete — now a special spring training instructor with the White Sox — was chatting with first baseman Adam LaRoche's son, when he decided that the 13-year-old needed a history lesson on his career.
"I used to play for the Kansas City Royals," Jackson casually said.
"Oh, you did? Oh yeah," Drake LaRoche responded, not seeming completely interested.
But Drake clearly wasn't understanding that he was talking to the Bo Jackson. So, one of the greatest athletes of all time went on.
"I played with Kansas City, the Chicago White Sox and the California Angels," Jackson continued. "And I played with the Raiders."
"The Raiders?"
Now the intrigue seemed to be setting in.
"You ever heard of the Heisman Trophy?" Jackson asked. "That's the best college football player in the country. I won that."

But wait, kid, there's more.
"I'm the only player to make it to the Pro Bowl in football and the All-Star Game in baseball," Jackson told him. "And I (was) the MVP of the All-Star Game."
The teenager finally conceded what sports fans already know to be true: "That's pretty awesome."
