A Florida man beat his girlfriend's son to death after the child's dirty diaper leaked onto furniture, police said.
Chantel Haye left Corey Gordon to look after 3-year-old Khyese Anthony Coach on Monday morning while she started a new job, reports the Sun-Sentinel.
Gordon took the infant to his North Lauderdale home that he shares with his sister after dropping his partner off at work at 5:30 a.m.
The couple did not speak until 20-year-old Haye's morning break at 9:11 a.m.
Gordon was said to be "furious" that the child's soiled underwear had stained his sister's furniture. The 28-year-old then picked up Haye, who he'd been dating for a year, at 3:45 p.m.
She claims he had tears in his eye and when she looked to the car's back seat she initially thought her son was just sleeping.

"But when I looked more closely at him I saw bruises on his face, his temples, his nose," Haye told the Sun-Sentinel. She realized he was cold and not even buckled in.
They took the child to Broward Health Coral Springs and as Haye ran inside with her son, Gordon drove away.
Doctors declared the boy dead and said he had probably passed away at least three hours earlier.
Gordon was on the run until Tuesday night, when he was found by a Broward Sheriff's Office SWAT unit. He was booked into Broward's main jail and charged with first-murder.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for the child's funeral. The fund currently stands at $1,245.
