Ben Woolf, who played Meep on "American Horror Story," died in a Los Angeles hospital after being hit by a passing car last week, his rep first confirmed on Twitter Monday.
The actor's family issued a statement thanking everyone for the support during this difficult time. 
"We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all of the world for our beloved Ben," the family said. "He touched so many hearts in his 34 years. His memory will live on within each of us and within his work." 
"Thank you everyone for your love," Woolf's family added.
The star's rep issued a statement as well.
