The family of Whitney Houston’s only child was faced with pulling the plug Wednesday after doctors told them there’s nothing more they can do.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, remained in a coma in an Atlanta hospital, five days after she was pulled from a bathtub in an emergency eerily similar to her famous mother’s drug-overdose demise.
“It’s now a matter of when the family wants to let go and accept that she’s pretty much not going to make it,” a source close to the family told FOX411.
Doctors treating the aspiring singer have told her father, former New Edition frontman Bobby Brown, 45, that they’ve done all they can to save her life, the entertainment news agency reported.
“They’ve left it up to the family as to how long they want to keep her alive,” the source said.

Bobby Brown is refusing to acknowledge the worst case scenario and continues to pray for a miracle. He appeared somber and refused to answer questions Wednesday as TMZ.com cameras filmed him entering Emory University Hospital in Atlanta to visit his daughter.
Upon hearing of his daughter’s crisis, Bobby Brown jetted to Atlanta Saturday aboard actor Tyler Perry’s private jet, a source confirmed to The News Wednesday.
Two women visiting their church pastor in the Emory intensive care unit Wednesday told the Daily News they saw a distraught Bobby Brown wondering the halls with his head down.

“He (Lomas) is extremely distraught and wants nothing more than his friend to wake up and make a full recovery,” attorney Philip Holloway said.
Holloway also scoffed at reports that Lomas was Bobbi Kristina’s drug dealer.
Brown family sources confirmed to TMZ that cops found undisclosed drugs in Bobbi Kristina’s suburban Atlanta house.
Lomas, 24, was busted Jan. 15 on charges of possessing marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a generic version of the anti-anxiety drug Xanax and for illegally carrying a gun.
“There is no connection between the recent case involving firearms and drugs and the near drowning,” Holloway said. “Lomas and Brown have been friends for several years.”
Doctors believe Bobbi Kristina was submerge in the bath for up to five minutes before she was found. She was put into a medically induced coma to reduce swelling on her brain.
In her most recent text messages, Bobbi Kristina confided to pals that the Feb. 11, 2012 death of her mother in a Beverly Hills hotel room bathtub left her feeling like “your heart has been ribbed out of your chest.”
“I was ALLLLL my mother lived for,” she wrote in a text, according to Radar Online.
“She was and is my everything ma’am,” she wrote.
